DoDonPachi DaiOuJou

The mechanized remnants of the ancient DonPachi Corps — sealed away on the Moon after nearly wiping out the human race — have spent centuries rebuilding and evolving in silence. When humanity colonizes the Moon and constructs the megacity of Lunapolis, the dormant machines wake, break their containment, and overrun the city before any defense can be mounted. The reactivated DonPachi Corps has time to build only two fighters, each paired with a sentient droid called an Element Doll. Knowing the mission is likely suicidal, the two ships launch alone into a city swarming with war machines, their objective: fight through Lunapolis and destroy Hibachi — the rebuilt mechanical bee at the heart of the machine army.
