Hugo: The Evil Mirror
This is a 2D version of a 3D PS1 & PC game of the same name - Hugo: The Evil Mirror.
The backstory and gameplay ideas are the same as the 3D versions, but because of hardware limitations on the handheld consoles it was implemented as a 2D platform game.
The GBA and GBC versions use different graphics, and while the GBA has some videos very similar to the PC/PS1 versions, the GBC has to make do with slideshows of still images for the story.

About This Game
The witch Scylla has pulled off a cruel trick — she has trapped Hugo inside a mirror. Now it falls to the player to break him free across three worlds, each sealed off by a dangerous monster guardian. The freeze gun is the key tool: turn enemies to ice, then shove them off ledges or stack them together to unlock power-ups. With the right strategy, Hugo's prison can be shattered.
