In the desert region of Rayland, a young woman named Aramis lives with her guardian Kaden. Since childhood, she has wielded a power granted to her by an entity called Ruta — the ability to erase the memories of others, which has earned her the title Restorer. Under Ruta's guidance, she and Kaden have used this ability on designated individuals throughout their lives, and Aramis has always believed the work served a genuine purpose. That belief starts to come apart when she encounters another person with the same ability and begins asking what the erasures are actually for. Kaden, watching her certainty dissolve, finds himself increasingly unable to stand aside.
