Bionicle: The Game

Bionicle: The Game

Released2003
The GBA Port of "Bionicle". Released as the handheld companion to the 3D BIONICLE, this game obviously has different gameplay, such as the lack of a save feature, using passwords instead, and a limited number of lives, after which the game resets. An improvement is that all versions of the Toa, including Toa, Toa Nuva, and Takanuva, are playable. Some basic story elements are kept the same, however.

About This Game

Players fight through levels using the Toa's Elemental powers to defeat enemies and rescue the Matoran who have been captured across the island. A required number of Matoran must be freed in each level to help the Turaga construct the key to the boss room. Elemental power is limited by a meter; once depleted, a power-up must be found before special attacks can be used again. Platforming is woven throughout — moving platforms, collapsing floors, and precise jumps are all part of the challenge.
