The story opens with Kronos, still imprisoned in Tartarus, watching the Atlanteans struggle to survive the harsh Norseland winters a decade after Atlantis was destroyed. He dispatches his nameless servant, who murders the Theocrat Krios and possesses his body, then leads the colony through a foreseen Sky Passage to a resource-rich island. There the possessed Krios coaxes everyone — including Kastor — into worshipping the overgrown temples of Oranos and Kronos, enraging the local Greeks, who attack. The Atlanteans retaliate by razing the entire Greek colony, then invade the city of Sikyos and slay General Melagius, only to face his Egyptian and Norse allies; deeming them too strong, Kastor retreats and resolves to strike their homelands while they defend Greece. In the Norselands, he tears down Norse temples, replaces them with Atlantean ones, and destroys the Tower of Odin using a god power granted by Kronos.
Other Atlantean forces sail to Egypt, where Arkantos warns Queen Amanra that they have come to steal sacred relics. Despite her defenses, the relics are taken, and Arkantos — protecting Amanra — reveals that Kastor is being deceived and urges her to find and help him. Meanwhile, Krios shows Kastor a Sky Passage onto Mount Olympus, where, transforming his men into myth units at special temples, Kastor slays the followers of the Olympian Gods, including Odysseus, collapsing the temple of Zeus. Back in Greek lands, the Titan Prometheus and his army ravage Sikyos, and Krios announces that Kastor's campaigns across Greece, Egypt, and the Norselands — capped by his assault on Olympus — have so weakened the Olympians' grip that minor titans can now spawn. Revealing his true form as a winged demon and servant of Kronos, Krios then flees.
