Hibana is a government-employed kunoichi sent into futuristic Tokyo with a specific mandate: eliminate the members of the Nakatomi Corporation, a conglomerate that has inadvertently released hellspawn into the city and is now scrambling to contain the consequences. Alongside that primary objective, Hibana is ordered to recover the shards of Akujiki—a legendary cursed sword that the shinobi Hotsuma used to seal away the hellspawn during the previous incident—before it can be exploited by the wrong hands.
