Summer arrived with a long school break and something worse: the Broadcasting Club has disintegrated. Since returning from the first field trip of the season, its members have grown cold and distant. Now only one person still shows up. Then a larger truth surfaces — their school is completely deserted. They may be the only people left. Club president Misato Miyasumi is alone on the rooftop, assembling a massive broadcast antenna: the summer project, designed to send a signal out to any other survivors who might be listening. The club was once a close group of friends. It is not anymore. What follows is the story of how those fractures come to a head, and what grows — slowly, painfully — from what is left.
