Crimson Tears

Crimson Tears

Released2004
The game is set in Tokyo in the year 2049 and revolves around three characters whose home has been destroyed. As seen on the game's front cover, this trio seems human; however, they are actually bio-engineered weapons developed by a company named A.R.M.A. called "mutanoids". A notable feature of Crimson Tears is that the levels are generated on the fly using templates, as opposed to predefined game worlds that are the same every time.

About This Game

Tokyo, 2049. Three beings who appear human live together—but the front cover of Crimson Tears tells the truth the game eventually confirms: they are mutanoids, bio-engineered weapons manufactured by a corporation called A.R.M.A. Their home has been destroyed, and the three are now operating in an unfamiliar world that doesn't know what they are. Crimson Tears is a hack-and-slash action RPG with a dungeon-crawl structure, in which the mutanoids' engineered combat capabilities are their primary resource in a city that has no place for them.
