Henry Townshend lives in South Ashfield, a city about half a day's drive from Silent Hill, content in his apartment — Room 302 — at South Ashfield Heights. Then one day he finds himself mysteriously locked inside it. Plagued by strange, nightmarish dreams, Henry cannot escape: the windows will not open, and his front door has been chained shut from the inside. No one can hear him, not even people standing right outside, no matter how hard he pounds and cries for help. As he searches the apartment for answers, he spots a gaping hole in his bathroom wall — and climbing through it, he discovers a portal that leads him into other, alternate dimensions.
