Puyo Pop Fever

Amitie is a student at a magic school where Accord teaches magical spell-casting through Puyo. When Accord announces that her flying cane has been lost and offers a reward for its return, Amitie sets out across the Puyo Puyo Fever world to find it, battling a succession of unusual opponents through Puyo matches. A harder alternate campaign lets players take control of Amitie's rival Raffina, who pursues the cane through a different set of opponents — and who eventually discovers that Accord never actually lost it at all. Raffina plans to expose the truth, until Accord knocks her unconscious. She wakes with no memory of the cane or the deception.
