Released2005
Gundam-flavored Puyo Puyo. Kidou Gekidan Haro Ichiza: Haro no Puyo Puyo is a Puyo Puyo game based on the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, the original TV series in particular. Puyos are replaced by Haros, and several Gundam characters are playable. The game features a story mode, a verses mode, and a survival mode where random characters throw garbage Haros into the player's field. Whenever a chain is completed, the chosen character will shout a famous phrase from the anime series; the game provides a large number of phrases that can be assigned to each character by the player.

About This Game

A Puyo Puyo variant built around the Gundam franchise's beloved mascot Haro. The game uses a five-color Tsu ruleset with minor modifications — movement speed stays constant when the directional pad is held, and garbage offset creates a slight delay. Haro replaces the standard Puyo pieces. The single-player mode runs through an AI bracket with Gundam characters, featuring multiple possible cutscene outcomes per matchup to reward replaying. The game places heavy emphasis on "chain phrases" — voice clips tied to chains — which are fully customizable, with additional phrases unlocking through the single-player mode. An Endless mode challenges players to survive as long as possible against periodic garbage attacks.
