Eilayda reigns as fairy queen over the enchanted forest of Velhal — until a sudden illness begins afflicting her people. The only known cure requires a powerful magical material called origin resin, and the only known source of it is sold deep within a human city, in its notorious prison district: a place of criminals and dangerous souls. Eilayda enters the district herself, determined to find the resin and return to her forest unscathed.
