Some months have passed since Tomoya and Tomoyo confessed their feelings for each other in the snow. Tomoya has a job now and his own place. A quiet summer together is what both of them were looking forward to. What they get instead: Tomoyo's younger brother Takafumi showing up constantly, a troubled girl named Tomo whose home situation leads Tomoyo to take her in as a ward, and Takafumi's ex-girlfriend Kanako, who has run away from home and invited herself into their household without being asked.
