About This Game

Rival Swords follows the same storyline as Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, expanding on it through nine bonus levels unlocked by sand gates scattered across the city. Unlike the main release, the Prince can use these gates for fast travel. Three bonus levels share the same destination and are structured like the Life Upgrade sections from Sands of Time, granting the Prince a new sand power each visit. Three others tie directly into the main narrative, gradually revealing how the Vizier uncovered the secrets of the lost temples of Zurvan. A statue of Zurvan in these bonus stages deteriorates as the Prince completes each level — its progressive destruction foreshadowing exactly how the final encounter will unfold.
