December 24, 201X. The protagonist is on a date in Tokyo when a message arrives on their phone — an attached file labelled the D.I.O. System, a demon summoning program. Seconds later, a flash of light. Tokyo is obliterated in a nuclear explosion. Information networks collapse. The protagonist surfaces from the debris into a city where survivors are sharing the streets with creatures that should not exist.
