Panic Palette

Itou Aki has just started high school in South Aose. Walking home from her part-time job one night, she encounters a man on the beach who looks unmistakably like an Arab oil sheikh and speaks in an archaic register. He accuses her of stealing a precious stone she has never seen. Before introductions are exchanged, he presses a mark on her — a "Contract Mark," which is to say, a spell. He identifies himself as a Prince from a dimension called Meldicia, and informs her that if the contract is not released, she will become his wife. To be released, Aki must manufacture a substance called Shell Aura. This requires attending school during the day and exploring the town at night. Other men appear, all claiming the same stone. Aki has no idea what any of them are talking about.
