In the early 1950s, a British research team at an Infinitum Research station began conducting covert experiments in human DNA manipulation. The work was dangerous and the failure rate catastrophic. By the mid-1990s the rate had dropped enough to move into the next phase: biological light refraction — engineering a human subject capable of visual invisibility for military use. The project produced Subject 617, whose treatment resulted in a massive neurological trauma, multiple genetic anomalies, constant pain, and an unstable genetic structure. The subject escaped, killing everyone in the way. Infinitum Research dispatched I.R.I.S. — the Interception Squad — to recover the subject for dissection. Subject 617, known as "The Hidden," cannot survive capture. He needs to reverse the dynamic before the squad closes in.
