Akatsuki no Goei

In a near-future Japan where crime runs unchecked, Ren'ou Academy trains elite bodyguards alongside the daughters of the country's wealthiest families. Kaito Asagiri has survived a year of grueling preparation, but he wants none of what comes next — he intends to quietly drop out. On the day of the opening ceremony, letter of withdrawal in hand, he encounters one particular girl. She tells him she has taken an interest in him as though it settles the matter. It does not settle anything for Kaito — and yet, against his better judgment, he finds that he wants to protect her.
