In the once-peaceful state of Lereftain, everything is coming apart. Murderous cults are operating freely in the streets. Parliament cannot agree on anything. Tension with old enemies in the west is rising. The country's inhuman rulers appear to be losing their grip. Three citizens whose paths cross by accident one dark night find themselves holding a responsibility far beyond self-defense: to decide whether to save civilization as they know it, or let it fall.
