R2-D2 and C-3PO have crash-landed on Tatooine carrying data the Empire wants badly enough to send Boba Fett to retrieve it. Starkiller is dispatched to intercept before the droids can be found. The mission puts him through the full ecosystem of Tatooine's social order: Jawas scavenging in the desert, Tusken Raiders with territorial grievances, and Jabba the Hutt's entourage with no interest in letting anyone operate freely in their territory. Boba Fett is waiting at the end of it, and after that, a Jedi confrontation the mission briefing didn't mention.
