Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove

Driving through the snowbound ghost town of Dire Grove, the player finds an abandoned car and, inside it, a camcorder. The footage shows a terrified student named Alison Sterling pleading for rescue. A note tucked nearby reads: "She is real. The legend is real." The player learns that Alison and three friends came to research a Celtic Banshee legend—and all four have vanished. An archaeologist named Dr. Patricia Anderson had recently unearthed relics tied to an ancient portal ritual, and the Banshee may have already gotten free. Racing to trap the spirit before it escapes entirely, the detective discovers that the only path forward is to open the portal—which is exactly what the Banshee wanted.
