Imprisoned for centuries deep within forgotten ruins, you awaken as a vampire-human hybrid to find a world steeped in despair. Vampire Lords rule with absolute power, humanity has largely succumbed to corruption or madness, and the few remaining human communities cling to survival on the edge of extinction. Your hybrid nature gives you abilities that are uniquely yours — blending human vitality with dark vampiric power — but it also marks you as something that fits neatly into neither world. Your first challenge is to defeat the fearsome Vampire Lord Gorgondius, who dwells in the Ziggurat of Gorgondius, a colossal tower that drains the life from everything around it. Within that tower lie the remnants of Gorgondius's past: a lost wife, two children, and a once-loyal household staff now twisted into an undead army. Beyond that first battle lies a larger choice: will you fight to free the oppressed, or claim dominion over this fractured world yourself?
