Paladog!

In a distant future, the gods decided humanity's greed had consumed the Earth and annihilated the species. Intelligence was granted to critters instead, and for a millennium their civilization lived peacefully, grateful to their creators. The devils, unable to find corrupted minds among the critters, eventually declared war on them. Unaccustomed to conflict after generations of peace, the critters found themselves overwhelmed by the undead armies rising from hell. Then a paladin stood up. His name was Paladog.
