Dead Space 2: Severed runs parallel to Isaac Clarke's ordeal on the Sprawl, following Gabe Weller and Lexine Murdoch—both introduced in Dead Space: Extraction—as they face their own Necromorph outbreak on the same station. Gabe fights through the infested complex to reach Lexine and get them both out, with the same brutal rules as Isaac's campaign but a different path through the chaos and a story that directly connects to Extraction's events.
