Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi

Japan is at war with itself: the shogunate and imperial forces are fighting for control, and Kyoto sits at the center of the conflict. Chizuru travels there searching for her father, a physician who has gone missing. She runs into the Shinsengumi—the fierce samurai corps sworn to protect the shogun—and discovers that they, too, are looking for her father. What begins as a missing persons case deepens into a confrontation with imperial soldiers and the supernatural, while Chizuru navigates the Shinsengumi's world and the complicated feelings that develop within it. Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi is an enhanced port of the original visual novel combined with its sequel.
