Material Brave

The recently formed volcanic island of Kamioki-jima contains a rare mineral called enigmatite that grants great power to any living being who fuses with it; humans who fuse become "Unleashed," animals and plants become "Neoplasm." A special school on the island trains the Unleashed in their abilities. Ayumu is a rare male Unleashed with a power called "engage" that magnifies a female partner's abilities — but activating it requires an exchange of bodily fluids. Paired by the school president with the most powerful student, Kanae, who has always kept her distance from him, the two remain at an awkward standoff until the island is attacked by Neoplasm and they have no choice but to act.
