The Tamayori-hime bears the loneliness and accumulated sins of others without complaint, sustained by the duty of sealing the sword that would otherwise end the world. That solitude is broken on a snowy night when she meets a god named Gentouka, who possesses the ability to grant immortality and has been pursued across the land by government officials intent on capturing him.
