Antonym Obscure

Nishikino Haruto is twenty-six years old with very little to show for it: a cramped apartment in a rundown building, a miserable job surrounded by obnoxious coworkers, and a mountain of regret. When he was younger, Haruto played in a school band called The Unappreciated Egoists alongside the aloof Ryo, the easy-going Taiki, the womanizing Kei, and Akira — a self-conscious prodigy who was always the most talented of them. The band fell apart. Everyone went their separate ways. Then, somehow, Akira formed a new group called Obscure and it rocketed to superstardom, with a mega-hit called Eternal Autumn that Haruto cannot seem to escape. He resents Akira. He is also drawn to him in ways he cannot fully explain. When Haruto hears that Obscure is coming to perform nearby, the question he cannot stop asking himself is simple: does Akira even remember who he is?
