Darksiders II: The Demon Lord Belial

Uriel, leader of the angels stranded on Earth, summons Death with word that her scouts may have located human survivors. Arriving to investigate, Death meets a man who calls himself the Hunter — the last human alive — and who is consumed by guilt. He explains that the demon lord Belial told him his soul was being held captive: do as Belial commanded or see it damned forever. To comply, the Hunter led Belial's forces straight to the remaining survivors. Death hunts down Belial and confronts him in his stronghold, only to learn the soul-threat was a bluff with no power behind it. Returning to tell the Hunter the truth, Death finds a man who cannot survive what he has done. The Hunter makes one final request, and Death reluctantly grants it.
