The Legends of Owlia

Six great owls created the land of Owlia and ruled it in peace and wisdom for eighty thousand years. Their one blind spot was the vast sea below, which they never thought about. Mermon, King of the Mermen, had been watching the land from the surface for years and decided he wanted it. He summoned the owls one by one and sapped the power of flight from each. Only Silmaran, the White King, evaded him. Looking down at the growing threat, Silmaran sent out a call for help. Guide the heroine Adlanniel and her owl companion Tyto as they set out to free the captured owls and bring Mermon down.
