On a distant planet, the Jungle Hunter Predator Clan and the Super Predators have come to a violent disagreement, with the Aliens caught in the middle. The Super Predators have enslaved the Alien species and are using them as weapons and trophies. Playing as an Alien, the mission is to break that grip and free the species from captivity—which means killing Super Predators. Playing as a Jungle Hunter Predator, the mission is to eliminate the Alien Queen and protect the clan from her influence. AVP: Evolution is a third-person action game that runs both campaigns through the same setting with opposing objectives.
