In the 395th year of the Era of the Gods, the master alchemist Siegdrad invented Sealbooks—magical tomes capable of capturing monsters—and created the order of warriors known as the Libras to wield them. The Libras succeeded beyond all expectation: the monster population collapsed, and even the Demon God herself, who had waged war against humanity under the banner of the holy maiden Vitoria, was eventually sealed away. Under the peace that followed, the First Queen Vitoria assumed the throne of Romulea. It is now Year 499 of the King's Era, and something new is beginning inside the Royal Library.
