Seventh Lair

Dark Knight is twenty-seven, developing games independently, and increasingly anxious about his lack of breakthrough. When a devoted fan reaches out, she gives him something more useful than praise: she gives him a reason to actually try. On his website Royaume Heaven, the regulars have been restless and a persistent troll named J.B. keeps demanding a new release. Dark Knight responds with a single post: "I'll have something new on April Fool's." On April 1st, he uploads a game called Seventh Lair. The moment anyone downloads it, Dark Knight and everyone involved are pulled into an RPG-like world. A meta-fantasy about creativity, the internet, and what gets created in that overlap.
