The Orbtus region was once home to a thriving civilization that built monuments to its gods and guardians—until a series of devastating earthquakes wiped them out, leaving only crumbling temples and carved idols as relics. In the present day, Professor Redwood, Orbtus's leading Pokémon researcher, notices the region's seismic activity increasing at an alarming rate. Concerned for the safety of the region and its people, he calls on a new generation of trainers from the seaside Celanto Town to investigate. With a rival at their side and the island's ancient mysteries ahead of them, they set out to discover the source of the tremors before history repeats itself.
