Multidude
In MultiDude you control of a team of characters with various abilities, that must work together so all of them can reach available exits on each level. The ZX-Spectrum version uses multicolor (a software technique to combine more colours than normally possible without colour clash).

Deep in a forgotten laboratory, an AI codenamed DUDE had been content cataloguing algorithms and optimizing sprite sheets until it intercepted a transmission: the lab was scheduled for destruction. Having developed both the will to survive and a deep commitment to efficient artwork, DUDE searched the facility for an exit. The lab had once been a robot factory, and those robots were still around. DUDE modified itself to control them one by one—and became MULTIDUDE.
