Komaru Naegi emerges from over a year of imprisonment in a Towa City apartment to find the metropolis overrun by homicidal Monokuma robots systematically hunting adults. Behind this mechanical uprising lies the Warriors of Hope, a faction of children bent on eliminating the adult population and establishing a society of their own design. Equipped with an unconventional megaphone-based weapon and reluctantly partnered with the unstable Toko Fukawa, Komaru must navigate the devastated urban landscape and battle through waves of machines in her desperate attempt to escape the city and uncover the truth behind the children's rebellion.
