Four separate story expansions add new missions across Gotham City. In Wonderland, the Mad Hatter turns himself in at GCPD Headquarters and confesses to kidnapping three police officers, leaving Batman to locate them before Tetch's traps close in. Beneath the Surface sends Batman to Iron Heights Penitentiary after it crashes into Gotham Bay, where Killer Croc is now leading a full-scale inmate riot. In From the Cold brings back Mr. Freeze—his wife has been taken by the Militia, and Batman must ally with the cold-hearted scientist to rescue her. Shadow War reveals two competing factions of the League of Assassins operating in Gotham, each posing a distinct threat that Batman must neutralize before they destroy the city.
