Twenty years have passed since four heroes drove the Darkness from the Algol Star system and brought peace to the planet Motavia. The population has rebuilt and returned to ordinary life. Emma and her sister have settled in the town of Zema. Emma is beginning her first assignment as a Defender—soldiers who track the planet's wildlife and environment.
