The desert kingdom of Madinaba has a princess who has spent her entire life inside the palace. Every attempt to slip out has failed. Then a mysterious man named Ifrit appears with an offer: spin him a tale, and he will open the doors for her. She says yes. The outside world is nothing like she imagined, and the fates of the people in it are not as fixed as she thought—as the tale-spinner, the choices she makes for her characters shape how their stories end, and how her own love story unfolds.
