Chloe lives in a city sealed off from the outside world by wire mesh — a quarantine zone, because everyone inside it is a zombie. Most of her friends chose to die young. Chloe finds her daily existence peaceful enough despite this, but longs to see beyond the wire. When an invitation arrives to attend a prestigious inter-species school for elite students, she finds herself living alongside a werewolf, an invisible boy, a vampire, and a mummy — and discovers that inter-species relationships, while forbidden, are apparently not impossible. Ephemeral: Fantasy on Dark is a romance visual novel set inside that unusual arrangement.
