You have been brought to a remote island to serve as a counsellor for Haruto, a young man with amnesia who was detained after an unspecified incident. He has already pushed away six or seven counsellors before you, and he makes clear from the start that you are no different to him. What changes things—gradually, carefully—is text messages. Through them he begins to open up, just a little, about who he was and who he wants to be. You can't leave the island until his memories come back. The question is whether what you find when they do is what either of you expected.
