A child sets out to hunt a bear. The route leads through long grass, a river, thick mud, a dark forest, and a snowstorm—and at the end of it, a cave with a bear inside. The bear does not want to be found. The child runs home across all the same obstacles, with the bear in pursuit. The bear is eventually locked out of the house. Under the covers: relief, adrenaline, and a firm resolution that there will be no repeat of this trip. A faithful adaptation of Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury's classic picture book, built for young players.
