Baba Yaga has been away from her hut for a long time. In her absence, the chicken legs that support the hut have been doing what chicken legs do when left unattended—growing. The legs eventually reached a height that felt right for walking, and the hut set out into the forest for a change of scenery. Neither the hut nor its legs anticipated what the forest had in store for them.
