Tak is next in line for the throne of Drakonia and knows it—which is part of why he has spent so much time avoiding its responsibilities. When an ill-advised prank results in the assassination of his mother, Queen Raksha, the consequences become impossible to ignore: her Soulstone—the lifeforce that sustains all Drakonian existence—has been stolen. Tak must travel to Earthland, the ancestral home of Drakonians, to recover it. He is not prepared for what he finds there.
