Land Doctrine is a 3D sandbox strategy game centered on the design and deployment of armored forces. Players draw from more than 2,100 possible tank configurations and a 99-node tech tree covering engines, suspension, guns, and production efficiency. Infantry equipment is managed at the platoon level, with 23 available weapons. The combat system measures anti-tank firepower against armor and anti-personnel firepower against cover, with terrain affecting engagement distance and maneuverability — and side, rear, or top armor becoming exposed in complex environments like woods or urban zones. Training matters: inadequately trained troops suffer higher casualties; well-trained ones earn combat bonuses. Maps are randomly generated.
