Halen: Ballad of the Blade Thief

Halen is a thief, and she was betrayed by the people she trusted. Now she has accepted a dangerous contract: retrieve a specific artifact from an ancient temple on Teltona, an abandoned planet reachable only through a piece of technology older than most recorded history. Inside the temple, the job falls apart—marooned robots with hostile programming fill the corridors, and the only help available comes from an unexpected source. Getting out means working with someone she did not plan to work with, through a building that was not designed to let people leave.
