About This Game

High schooler Rin was in her hometown shopping district, buying a snack, when the world around her transformed. The signs became unreadable. The sky turned pink. The language the people around her were speaking was nothing she recognized. A girl named Ruka—pretty enough to be a celebrity—appeared and offered to help, despite speaking only a few words of Japanese. The Expression Amrilato is a yuri visual novel about two girls learning to communicate across a language barrier, set in a world Rin doesn't understand and can't leave. It incorporates a constructed language called Juliamo, which the player learns alongside Rin through the course of the story.
