Cicadas

Six years ago, a first life ended. The narrator was adopted, given a new name, and slowly returned to the rhythms of ordinary existence. The unease that came with blank memory faded, eventually. The memories from that earlier life—and the cicadas from that particular summer—were sealed somewhere deeper than forgetting. A visual novel about the silence that forms around things too painful to remember and what disturbs it.
