Foolish Mortals

Devil's Rock. An island off the coast of Louisiana. 1933. Murphy McCallan has been obsessed with the treasure said to be hidden inside Bellemore Manor ever since he first heard of it. People say the house is still haunted by the ghosts of a wedding party that vanished there decades ago — but if the ghosts know where the treasure is, Murphy figures he just has to ask. What he finds when he arrives is far more than he bargained for: a household of spirits unbothered by their own deaths, and an evil phantom determined to claim the treasure first. Getting to the treasure will mean not only reaching it first, but understanding what happened on the island all those years ago. And Murphy has a feeling that to do that, he will have to die too.
