Total War: Warhammer II - Mortal Empires

Total War: Warhammer II - Mortal Empires

Released2017
Mortal Empires is a new grand-scale campaign for Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II. Mortal Empires is a bespoke new campaign map, not an exact reflection of the Old World and Eye of The Vortex campaign maps. As such, certain factions have unique new starting positions. The Skaven warlord Queek Headtaker of Clan Mors, for example, begins with ownership of Karag Orrud in the south-eastern Badlands. This puts him in the heart of Greenskin territory in the Old World.

About This Game

Mortal Empires combines the landmasses from both Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II into one enormous campaign map. All 35 Legendary Lords from both games—including any free or DLC additions—are available as starting options, covering the Dwarfs, Greenskins, Empire, Bretonnia, Wood Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, Skaven, Vampire Counts, and Lizardmen. The campaign is a sandbox rather than a narrative race: there is no single overarching win condition, just an expanding empire in any direction. The Chaos invasion still arrives from the wastes—but also from unexpected directions this time. All campaign features introduced in Warhammer II are included: treasure-hunting, sea encounters, rogue armies, loyalty, rites, new chokepoint battles, and numerous UI improvements. Free to owners of both games.
